On Tuesday, Moderna said its COVID-19 vaccine was shown to be effective in adolescents aged 12-17 and showed no new or major safety problems in a clinical trial.
Moderna this morning that the company's results of testing of the COVID-19 vaccine in 12- to 17-year-olds was 100% effective.
And so that sets it up for then the company to ask the FDA to expand its emergency use authorization to adolescents. That would be the second to be available to those ages, after the Pfizer and BioNTech vaccine.
