Iran on Saturday condemned United States President Donald Trump's declaration that Venezuela's airspace is closed, describing the move as a violation of international law.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baqaei said the decision "amounted to a flagrant violation of established international norms governing cross-border air transport" and accused Washington of undermining Venezuela's sovereignty.
Trump's move came after several attacks on Venezuelan ships accused of smuggling narcotics into the US.
