Hamas said on Saturday that Israel's latest strike in Gaza City constituted a "criminal violation of the ceasefire agreement."
According to the statement posted on Telegram, "This crime reaffirms that the occupation deliberately seeks to undermine and fail the ceasefire agreement through escalating its continuous violations." Hamas called on "mediators and guarantor states" to intervene, urging them to "act urgently" to stop what it described as repeated breaches of the agreement, including ongoing military strikes, the blockade, and restrictions on humanitarian aid.
Hamas's statement followed confirmation that a senior Hamas commander, Raad Saad, was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City, while reports said Washington was not informed in advance.
