The Trump administration may impose a blockade on all oil imports to Cuba as part of its efforts to force regime change on the island, Politico reported on Friday, citing three people familiar with the plan.
While the option is one of several that may be presented to US President Donald Trump and is yet to be approved, the move is said to have the backing of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Cuba already suffers the economic consequences of US actions in Venezuela, with Trump boasting that no more oil or money goes into the Caribbean country.
