The Iranian military could start employing "advanced and less-used long-range missiles" in its attacks in the near future, the Fars News Agency reported on Friday. An unnamed Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) official said that the missiles will be "put on the agenda" in the coming days.
The report said Iran has mostly used older missiles in its strikes so far, including those from 2012, 2013, and 2014, based on the assessment that the conflict will be "prolonged." However, the IRGC official noted that the Iranian defense industry is actively manufacturing various missile systems.
