Negotiations over the Iran conflict are nearing a breakthrough, with "some good news is expected from both sides soon" and a deal possibly set to be finalized shortly, CNN reported, citing a regional source.
The unnamed source also told the outlet that Pakistan's army chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, has directly guided the talks.
The news comes after Pakistan proposed a two-week ceasefire and urged United States President Donald Trump to extend his deadline on Iran, which is set to expire in a few hours.
