Iran said to have sent US 10-point plan to end war

 Iran has issued a 10-point response to a US-backed proposal to end the war, Axios and the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) reported on Monday, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The response allegedly rejects a ceasefire and instead calls for a permanent end to the war, while also demanding an end to regional conflict, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz, reconstruction, and the lifting of sanctions.

According to those involved in the negotiations, the proposal is a "maximalist" option, and it remains unclear whether it would facilitate progress toward a diplomatic solution. Iran said it had relayed its response to Pakistan after two weeks of deliberations at the "highest levels."
