Trump: Now, Hamas must disarm, like it promised

 United States President Donald Trump urged Hamas on Monday to disarm "like they promised" after the remains of the last hostage who died in the group's captivity after being abducted on October 7, 2023, were returned.

In a brief interview with Axios, Trump praised Hamas for participating in locating the remains and returning them. "They worked very hard to get the body back. They were working with Israel on it. You can imagine how hard it was," he noted.

Lastly, Trump hailed the US's role in the process. "Nobody believed we would bring back all the hostages. It was a great moment," he stressed. He added that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was "thrilled" with the news.
