The United States State Department approved a possible sale of 45 Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System-Alternative Warhead, a precision-guided, GPS-assisted rocket, and related equipment to Singapore at an estimated price of $83.14 million, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency revealed in a statement on Wednesday.
"The proposed sale will improve Singapore’s defensive capability to shield the allies who train and operate within their borders, improve its ability to meet current and future threats, and increase regional stability. Singapore will have no difficulty absorbing these articles and services into its armed forces," the press release said.
According to the document, Lockheed Martin Corporation was selected as the main contractor for this sale.
