Satellite images show trucks lined up at Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility before US airstrikes

Satellite images appeared to show scores of trucks lined up at Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility just days before the US carried out its large-scale airstrikes — as speculation swirled that Tehran may have been able to move its uranium stockpiles before the attacks.

The images, released by US defense contractor Maxar Technologies, captured more than a dozen cargo-style trucks lined up outside the Fordow nuclear enrichment site’s tunnel entrance on Thursday and Friday.

The vehicles, which came and went over a 24-hour stretch, appeared to move unidentified contents roughly half a mile away, the Free Press reported, citing US officials.

US and Israeli intelligence officials were aware of the movement at the time but opted not to act so they could track where the trucks headed and await President Trump’s order to carry out the strikes, the officials added.

Trump gave the green light to launch 75 precision-guided munitions, including bunker-buster bombs and more than two dozen Tomahawk missiles, against Fordow and two other Iranian nuclear sites early Sunday.

Iranian state media outlets have since claimed that the Fordow, Isfahan and Natanz sites were evacuated in the lead up to the strikes.

Iran hasn’t officially disclosed how much damage was sustained in the attack but White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt insisted Monday the Trump administration was “confident” that Tehran’s nuclear sites were “completely and totally obliterated.”

“We have a high degree of confidence that where those strikes took place is where Iran’s enriched uranium was stored,” she told ABC News.

“The president wouldn’t have launched the strikes if we weren’t confident in that.”

“So this operation was a resounding success and administration officials agree with that, as well as Israel,” she added.

Trump, for his part, hailed the strikes as a “Bullseye!!!”

Satellite imagery appeared to show that the strikes had severely damaged — or destroyed — the Fordow plant and possibly the uranium-enriching centrifuges it housed.

“Monumental Damage was done to all Nuclear sites in Iran,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. “The biggest damage took place far below ground level. Bullseye!!!”

Still, US defense officials have said they are working to determine just how much damage the strikes did as speculation mounted that Iran could have shifted uranium from the underground military complex.

“I wish the Israelis had moved quicker to disable Fordow,” David Albright, a former United Nations weapons inspector, told The Free Press in the wake of the attacks.

“It’s still a mystery exactly what was in those trucks. But any highly enriched uranium at Fordow was likely gone before the attack.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio told NBC’s “Meet the Press” that he doubts Iran was able to move anything prior to the attacks but acknowledged “no one will know for sure for days.”

“I doubt they moved it,” he said.

“They can’t move anything right now inside of Iran. I mean, the minute a truck starts driving somewhere, the Israelis have seen it, and they’ve targeted it and taken it out.”

He added that US officials believe a significant amount of Iran’s stockpile of 60% uranium had been located in the Isfahan facility when it was targeted.

“Our assessment is we have to assume that that’s a lot of 60% enriched uranium buried deep under the ground there in Isfahan,” he said.

Rubio didn’t specifically mention Fordow or Natanz but said Iran should now bring its stockpile “out of the ground and turn it over.”

“That really is the key,” Rubio said. “Multiple countries around the world will take it and down blend it. That’s what they should do with that.”

Leavitt, meanwhile, dismissed Iran’s threat of retaliation – insisting the US and the world were safer thanks to Trump’s attack.

“Just to be clear, yes, this strike on Saturday did make our homeland safer because it took away Iran’s ability to create a nuclear bomb,” she told ABC News.

“This is a regime that threatens death to America and death to Israel. And they no longer have the capability to build this nuclear weapon and threaten the world. So not just the United States that’s a safer place, but also the entire globe.”

Mamdani wants to spend $65M on trans medical treatment — including for minors — if elected

Mayoral hopeful Zohran Mamdani wants to spend $65 million in taxpayer funds on transgender treatment – including for minors – if he’s elected to lead New York City.

The Queens assemblyman, who is locked in a close race with former governor Andrew Cuomo in Tuesday’s Democratic primary, says on his campaign website that the money would be funneled to public providers to help transgender New Yorkers.

About $57 million would be allotted for public hospitals, community clinics, federally qualified health centers and nonprofits with another $8 million for more expanded services, the website states.

The surging Democratic socialist contender first unveiled his plan to “deliver care, opportunity, and protection for LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers,” last month following a Trans Community Town Hall with advocates.

The New York Sun, which reported on the spending plan Monday, noted it was unclear whether the proposal would pay for just medication, or gender-transition surgery as well.

Mamdani defended the spending plan as necessary, citing how private Big Apple hospitals had stopped providing gender-affirming care for minors under threats from the Trump administration earlier this year.

“LGBTQIA+ New Yorkers are under attack by the Trump administration and Zohran is going to stand up for them as Mayor,” a campaign spokesperson said in a statement to The Post on Monday.

“That means ensuring both public and private institutions follow our state constitution and human rights laws, protecting gender-affirming care, and creating the Office of LGBTQIA+ Affairs at City Hall.”

President Trump signed an executive order aimed at restricting gender transition procedures for patients younger than 19, but that measure has been blocked by a judge for now.

Trans care for youth has been a controversial issue with critics arguing children and teens are too young to move ahead with something so permanent while supporters believe the treatment helps handle gender dysphonia that could lead to mental health problems.

Mamdani, 33, also vowed to go after private medical institutions that continue to deny trans youth care, stating he would work with state Attorney General Letitia James and local district attorneys in the five boroughs to “investigate and hold public hearings on hospitals that deny trans youth their rightful healthcare and hold them accountable to the law.”

Providing trans care to city youth is in line with the state constitution and city laws, according to Mamdani’s campaign.

NYU Langone was one high-profile hospital to pause its gender-affirming care for youth when Trump initially threatened to pull federal funding from medical centers treating minors, leading to outrage from liberal officials.

It’s unclear what the status of trans care is for minors at NYU Langone. An email to the hospital was not immediately returned Monday.

New York-Presbyterian, another hospital that reportedly pulled references to trans youth care months ago, also did not return a request Monday.

But a hospital spokesperson told the New York Sun the hospital continues to work through the “evolving situation” to comply with state and federal laws.

A source close to the hospital claimed to the outlet its pediatric gender program was still maintaining gender-treatment for current patients under 19, but only accepting new patients in that age range for behavioral health care.

Mamdani’s trans spending proposal is among a hodgepodge of expensive services he wants to enact as mayor.

He has pushed for city-run food stores that would cost about $60 million, as well as free buses and childcare that would cost $900 million and at least $5 billion respectively.

The lefty lawmaker also wants to create a new department of public safety that would cost around $450 million.

He claims the pricey endeavors would be paid for by spiking corporate taxes from 7.25% to a steep 11.5% and placing a 2% flat tax on the wealthy.

That plan would require the approval of the state Legislature and Gov. Kathy Hochul, who has vowed not to raise taxes — warning that doing so would help fuel an exodus of New Yorkers to states such as Florida.

Iran response to US strikes 'unsurprising': source

By Caitlin Doornbos

WASHINGTON -- There has been no official statement from the Pentagon on this Iranian attack, but a source tells The Post that the response from Tehran to Saturday's US bombing of three key nuclear sites is "unsurprising."

Sirens sounding in Iraq and Kuwait, UAE airspace closed

By Samuel Chamberlain

Alert sirens are sounding over Al-Asad Airbase in western Iraq, as well as in Kuwait, where the US has around half a dozen military bases.

The United Arab Emirates has joined Qatar in closing its airspace in response to Iran's missile launch.

We are still waiting for any reports of damage or casualties.

Judge Orders 'Maryland Father' Kilmar Abrego Garcia's Release Before Trial

by Ken Silva via Headline USA,

A federal judge in Tennessee plans to order the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the alleged MS-13 member whom mainstream media dubbed “Maryland man” after he was deported to El Salvador, while he awaits a federal trial on human smuggling charges.

But Abrego Garcia is not expected to go free because U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement will likely take him into custody and possibly try to deport him.

In a ruling on Sunday, U.S. Magistrate Judge Barbara Holmes denied the U.S. government’s motion to keep Abrego Garcia in detention before his trial. She scheduled a hearing for Wednesday to discuss the conditions of his release.

The U.S. government has already filed a motion to appeal the judge’s decision and is asking the judge to stay her impending release order.

Abrego Garcia pleaded not guilty on June 13 to smuggling charges, which stem from a 2022 traffic stop for speeding in Tennessee during which Abrego Garcia was driving a vehicle with nine passengers. While officers suspected possible smuggling, Abrego Garcia was allowed to go on his way with only a warning.

Body camera footage shows a calm exchange between officers and Abrego Garcia. The officers then discussed among themselves their suspicions of smuggling before letting him go. One of the officers says, “He’s hauling these people for money.” Another says Abrego Garcia had $1,400 in an envelope.

The federal indictment accuses Abrego Garcia of smuggling throughout the U.S. hundreds of people living in the country illegally, including children and members of the violent MS-13 gang.

Abrego Garcia was sent to an El Salvadorian supermax prison in March, in contravention of an immigration judge’s hold on his deportation.

He was returned to the U.S. earlier this month to face the human smuggling charges.

Stocks Fall After Report About Iran Retaliation

A rebound in stocks sputtered as oil rose, with investors concerned about a potential Iranian response to US attacks on its nuclear sites.

The S&P 500 wiped out its advance after a Wall Street Journal reporter posted on social media that Iran is moving launchers for a possible attack on US forces. West Texas Intermediate topped $74 a barrel after earlier falling. Aside from the geopolitical risks, Treasuries climbed after Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman signaled support for a potential rate cut as soon as July.
