Fresenius Medical Care (FMS) CEO Rice Powell said the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has approved the company’s plan to acquire U.S. home dialysis equipment maker NxStage (NXTM) and the company expects the deal to close in the next few days, Reuter’s Caroline Copley reports, citing comments made by Powell. FMC, which agreed to buy NxStage in August 2017 for $2B, also announced that CFO Michael Brosnan plans to retire once a successor has been named, which company expects by the end of the year.
