GE Aerospace received an order from Korean Air for GEnx and GE9X engines to power up to 50 aircraft it recently agreed to buy from Boeing.
GE Aerospace said the order includes a service agreement to cover maintenance, repair and overhauls of the GE9X engines.
The engines will be used to power 20 Boeing 777-9s and up to 30 787-10s.
The GEnx is the company's fastest-selling engine to date and powers two-third of all 787 aircraft currently operating, GE Aerospace said. The GE9X engine is the world's most powerful commercial engine and the most fuel-efficient in its class, according to the company.
