Commodity trader Xiamen C&D Inc. is in talks to import distillers grains from Brazil as China prepares to begin sourcing the protein-rich feed ingredient from the South American nation.
The company is seeking crop processors with combined capacity to supply more than 500,000 metric tons a year of distillers dried grains, a byproduct of corn ethanol production used in livestock feed, according to Liu Wei, a general representative for C&D in Brazil.
