Cochlear secures FDA approval for triple product launch

The news: Hearing device maker Cochlear has received regulatory approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its new Nucleus Nexa System, and its Nucleus Kanso 3 and Kanso 3 Nexa sound processors.

The context: Cochlear said the approval paves the way for the products to launch in the US by the end of the first quarter of fiscal 2026.

The company unveiled the Nucleus Nexa System, which it describes as the "world's first and only smart cochlear implant system," last month. It launched in Europe and Asia Pacific in June.
