Renault SA is seeking a partner in India, according to people familiar with the matter, to strengthen its presence as the French automaker dilutes a long-term alliance with Nissan Motor Co.
The company has held preliminary talks with Indian billionaire Sajjan Jindal’s JSW Group for a potential joint venture, the people said, asking not to be identified because the discussions are private.
