Arrest in NYC Manhattan Criminal courthouse lobby, as officers slashed in neck, face

A maniac barged into a Lower Manhattan courthouse and slashed two officers in the neck and face in a shocking, apparently “targeted” attack Monday morning, law enforcement officials and sources said.

Jonathan Wohl, 37, of Queens, ran into the lobby of Manhattan Criminal Court at 100 Centre Street around 9:30 a.m. and suddenly ambushed the officers with a knife, the sources said.

He cut one of the officers twice on his face and sliced the other on the neck – before shoving a third into a barrier in the main lobby on the south side of the building, according to the sources and the Office of Court Administration.

The assaults, captured on surveillance video, appeared preliminarily to be a targeted attack of the uniformed officers working security details at the courthouse,” an OCA spokesman said in a statement.

A group of officers could be seen taking him down to the ground and then carrying him out of the courthouse with his feet up in the air.

“Several Court Officers immediately rushed to stop the assailant, subduing him near a bank of magnetometers, disarming him, and taking him into custody,” the spokesman said.

Charges are pending against the alleged attacker.

Meanwhile, the injured officers were hospitalized in stable condition, according to the sources.

The brute did not have a court appearance scheduled Monday morning, sources said, and the motive for the attack is unknown.

Wohl has been arrested 18 times in the past – mostly for drugs – but only three of those cases remain open, according to the sources.

The crazed attacker has been a regular problem at the courthouse, a police source said.

“He’s always harassing the court officers,” the source told The Post. “He said he wanted to kill them.”

A court officer said Wohl is known to come “to the building and cause trouble, agitate court officers, but nothing like this.”

The appalling attack comes as New York State Supreme Court Officers Association revealed that staffing at the city’s courthouses has plummeted to “bleak” levels – potentially endangering  judges, jurors and the public.

“Within just a couple of days of launching a widespread advocacy campaign making the public aware of the severe safety deficiencies in our courts, OCA was in Brooklyn draining more personnel resources, while in Manhattan Criminal Court, two Court Officers were stabbed with one officer sustaining serious wounds to his face and neck,” union president Patrick Cullen said in a statement.

“What will it take for court leaders to take the appropriate action to secure these facilities?” Cullen added. “Our members aren’t safe and neither is the public. The time to act is now!”

Watch: Anchor Flees Studio Mid-Broadcast As Iran TV Building Bombed

It seems clear that the four-day long aerial war in the Middle East has escalated to a full-on Israeli effort to overthrow the Iranian government

Already the country's main justice building in the capital has been struck by Israeli warplanes, and on Monday Iran's state TV headquarters (IRIB) has come under direct attack. The terrifying moment of studio collapse during a live broadcast was caught in real-time for the world to see. Watch:

The footage shows the moment of attack when the Israeli Air Force bombed the main offices of IRIB. The anchor is seen fleeing the studio after a massive explosion, and the studio shook and things begin to fall.

Israeli media has also confirmed that Iranian state TV headquarters are now being targeted, with Israeli warplanes having full control of the skies over Western Iran. TOI reports:

Earlier, the IDF issued an evacuation warning for the area in Tehran where IRIB’s headquarters are based, while Defense Minister Israel Katz said, “The Iranian propaganda and incitement mouthpiece is on its way to disappear.”

Now both sides are promising more 'major blows' to come, with Iran's IRGC also warning Israeli civilians to evacuate Tel Aviv.

Based on the footage below, Israeli warplanes appear to have struck the central media broadcast building at least several times...

Again, this has escalated to full Israeli decapitation efforts against Tehran's government, and very likely the Supreme Leader was long ago moved to a secure bunker, surrounded by his closest and most trusted aides.

The Pentagon is now positioning itself to be able to present Trump with 'options' - and if the US does directly enter, there could be a revolt among his MAGA base. Trump is now telling the Iranians they should enter nuclear negotiations 'before it's too late'.

Reports of casualties emerging from the strike...

Russia says US has cancelled next round of talks on easing tensions

Russia said on Monday that the United States had cancelled the next round of talks between the two countries, an apparent setback in a process launched by presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump to improve bilateral ties.

In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova did not say if Washington had given any reason for the break in the talks, which began after Trump returned to the White House in January.

Russia had described relations as "below zero" under the previous administration of President Joe Biden, which provided advanced U.S. weapons to Ukraine and imposed multiple rounds of sanctions on Moscow over the war.

"As of today, the next meeting within the framework of bilateral consultations on eliminating 'irritants' in order to normalize the activities of diplomatic missions of both countries has been cancelled at the initiative of the American negotiators," Zakharova said.

"We hope that the pause they have taken will not last too long."

Russia had said only last week that the U.S.-Russia talks - which have been proceeding on a separate track from discussions about ending the war in Ukraine - would soon move to Moscow from Istanbul.

However, the Kremlin - while denying that dialogue had stalled - also said last week that there were "a lot of blockages in bilateral relations" and talks on improving them were not expected to yield quick results.

Both sides say there is huge potential for business and investment deals if relations improve. But Trump, despite holding five phone calls with President Vladimir Putin - most recently on Saturday - has voiced frustration about Russia's war actions in Ukraine and the lack of any visible progress towards a peace deal.

Cricket For MAGA: Trump Mobile Launches 'America First' Phone, Service

Democrats are coming off their weekend color revolution via 'No Kings,' quarterbacked by far-left NGOs that were seemingly successful in orchestrating a mass mobilization effort against President Trump, effectively emptying retirement homes across America and sending deranged leftist elderly boomers onto city streets as foot soldiers. Now, Democrats will be triggered on Monday. But instead of rioting around ICE facilities, they'll rage on BlueSky, infuriated that the Trump Organization just launched a mobile service and smartphone

The Trump Organization's new smartphone is expected to be priced at around $499. The service will be offered through a $47.45-per-month plan that includes unlimited talk, text, and data, as well as roadside assistance and a "Telehealth and Pharmacy Benefit," according to its website.

"Alongside the team from Trump Mobile, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump unveil T1 Mobile, a transformational, new cellular service designed to deliver top-tier connectivity, unbeatable value and all-American service for our nation's hardest-working people," the Trump Organization wrote in a press release.

Think of it as 'Cricket' for MAGA...

Here's what the $47.45-per-month plan gets you:

  • Unlimited talk, text, and data

  • Complete device protection

  • 24/7 roadside assistance through Drive America

  • Telehealth services, including virtual medical care, mental health support, and easy ordering and delivery for prescription medications

  • Free International calling to more than 100 countries, including many with American military bases to help honor the families who are bravely serving in our military abroad

  • No contracts, no credit check

Donald Trump Jr. commented on the new service that launches later this year:

"Trump Mobile is going to change the game, we're building on the movement to put America first, and we will deliver the highest levels of quality and service. Our company is based right here in the United States because we know it's what our customers want and deserve."

The Trump Organization stated that the "T1 Phone" will be a "sleek, gold smartphone engineered for performance and proudly designed and built in the United States for customers who expect the best from their mobile carrier."

Earlier, Eric Trump told Fox News that Trump Mobile's call center will be based in America's Heartland, specifically in St. Louis, Missouri, rather than overseas.

Axios noted, "The T1 brand on its phone is owned by the Trump Organization, effectively putting the Trump family in a manner of competition with the likes of Apple and Samsung, both of which the president has threatened to tariff heavily."

Last month, President Trump warned Apple CEO Tim Cook that iPhones could face a 25% tariff if the company doesn't move manufacturing to the U.S. Cook has spent the last several years shifting production out of China, with a growing share of iPhone assembly now taking place in India.

"I have long ago informed Tim Cook of Apple that I expect their iPhone's that will be sold in the United States of America will be manufactured and built in the United States, not India, or anyplace else. If that is not the case, a Tariff of at least 25% must be paid by Apple to the U.S.," the president said on Truth Social last month.

Democrats are expected to erupt in outrage today, accusing President Trump and his family of using the presidency to enrich themselves and their billionaire allies. Much of the backlash is likely to be on Bluesky.

The Trump Organization's mobile phone venture is making a strategic move—possibly a tariff playpositioning itself ahead of Apple and other tech giants by using domestic phone production to sidestep potential import duties. However, no specifics have been provided about actual U.S.-based manufacturing.
