Dr Ashleys Limited and Impact BioMedical Inc. Announce Strategic Merger
Dr Ashleys Limited and Impact BioMedical Inc. (NYSE: IBO) have announced a strategic merger agreement on June 21, 2025. The transaction involves a reverse merger where Dr Ashleys will acquire Impact BioMedical, creating a new combined entity to be traded on NYSE American as Dr Ashleys Limited. The merger aims to leverage Dr Ashleys' global reach and financial capabilities to accelerate the market development of Impact BioMedical's patent portfolio. The combined company will be managed by Dr Ashleys' team with a new Board of Directors. The transaction has received unanimous approval from both companies' boards and is subject to shareholder approval, regulatory clearances, and SEC registration requirements. BMI Capital LLC and Revere Securities LLC are serving as M&A advisors to Dr Ashleys and Impact BioMedical, respectively.

Homeland Security warns of possible terrorist attacks in US following strike on Iran
The Department of Homeland Security issued a terrorism alert on Sunday — warning of possible Iranian attacks against the US following the American airstrikes against Tehran’s nuclear program.
DHS warned officials to be on the lookout for Iranian-led attacks over the next three months by terror cells inspired to retaliate following Saturday night’s strike.
“The likelihood of violent extremists in the Homeland independently mobilizing to violence in response to the conflict would likely increase if Iranian leadership issued a religious ruling calling for retaliatory violence against targets in the Homeland,” DHS said in a statement.
Along with the possibility of extremist attacks on US soil, officials warned that the chances of both cyberattacks and antisemitic acts are likely to increase.
The advisory comes after the NYPD put out its own alert last night, with Gov. Hochul upping security at the MTA and Port Authority.

John Brennan’s brain has always been bent, but how could anyone think it’s a viable, “creative” solution for the genocidal Iranian mullahs to have any kind of enrichment capability? They’ve only been chanting “Death to America” for the better part of fifty years. Does he not believe them? We can all have good-faith disagreements about the best course of action to see to it that the mullahs never get the bomb, but this...this is just loony.
As for the Texas Democrats, I can only assume they’re a bunch of renters. Most people who own a home busted their fannies to come up with the down payment and bust their fannies all day, every day to pay for it and maintain it. Why anyone would hold that cheap is beyond me. Like I said, they must all be renters. It makes no sense any other way.
And as for child mutilation, it is my sincere hope that much, much sooner rather than later, we come to regard these monstrous parents as having Munchausen-by-Proxy to put a stop to all this. What’s the rush? Let the kids be kids, and knock it off already! Leave them alone!
I’m honestly beginning to wonder if we can actually co-exist with these people. Their ideas aren’t just loony; they’re fraught with harm. In the case of John Brennan, it’s suicidal harm. In the case of these deranged parents, it’s permanent physical harm to their children. As for the Texas Democrats, I got nothin’.
You know what? I got nothin’ regarding the lot of them. There’s no reasoning with any of them. If you try, they just start cursing and spitting. If you’ve ever tried to engage in even the most low-key debate with any leftist on social media, you know what I’m talking about. Even in real life it goes sideways very, very fast. You have to talk to them like mental patients with sharps. “Put down the butter knife, Sunshine. We can talk about this.” I don’t even try anymore. It’s hopeless.

British, Singapore Airlines Halt Gulf Flights After Iran Strike
British Airways and Singapore Airlines canceled flights to the Persian Gulf, increasing aviation disruptions in the region after the US struck three nuclear sites in Iran and Tehran vowed to retaliate.
London-based British Airways carrier canceled several flights to Dubai and diverted two planes bound for the emirate overnight, according to data from Flightradar24. One flight took off from Heathrow Airport Saturday night and was diverted to Zurich after it reached Saudi Arabia’s airspace in the early hours of Sunday, according to the flight tracking site. Another Dubai-bound jet returned to Heathrow after going as far as Egypt.
Surge in UK firms using loans to pay tax bills amid April increases
The number of businesses using loans in order to pay for tax bills has soared by more than a third so far this year in the face of April cost increases, a major financing firm has warned.
Billions of pounds of tax and value-added tax payments are set to be covered by credit and financing arrangements this year, according to specialist lender Premium Credit.
Bosses at the finance provider said it comes as small businesses across the UK face increased "strain" on their finances due to the recent increase in employers' national insurance contributions.
In April, firms were hit by higher national insurance payments alongside the increases in the national minimum wage and tax increases, such as higher business rates payments and new packaging taxes.
Premium Credit said it witnessed a 37% jump in customers using its tax and VAT financing service in the first quarter of 2025 against the same period last year as firms prepared for tax hikes.
The number of customers using financing for tax and VAT has doubled over the past two years, the company highlighted.
It added that the average loan used to help pay VAT tax bills was worth around GBP108,000 in 2024, with around GBP70,000 for non-VAT bills.
Jennie Hill, chief commercial officer at Premium Credit, said: "Around GBP3 billion to GBP5 billion of tax and VAT liabilities are financed each year and recent increases to employers' national insurance are adding to the strain on [small and medium-sized enterprise] cashflow."
Meanwhile, research commissioned by the business surveying small business owners found that 20% of small firms said they worry that paying tax bills will be more difficult this year.
Around 28% also cautioned that they think they will struggle to pay a tax bill in the next five years.

Japan PM calls for de-escalation of Iran conflict
