Mylan (MYL), which owns the rights to the EpiPen allergy injector, is urging manufacturing partner Pfizer (PFE) to do more to handle the shortages of the live-saving medicine signaling the its growing frustration with the company, the Financial Times reports, citing people familiar with the situation. Mylan sent a team of its managers to try to fix issues at a Pfizer factory in St. Louis, which produces all the EpiPens in the U.S., as the company sensed a lack of urgency at Pfizer, which has been struggling to meet demand for the allergy injector and if the issue is not resolved, shortages may become more severe in Q3 as demand rises due to children with allergies returning to school
