CVS Health (CVS) is planning to open “hundreds” of SmileDirectClub locations inside of its stores in 2019 and expects to open over 1,000 locations over the next two years, CNBC’s Lauren Thomas and Angelica LaVito report, citing VP of beauty Maly Bernstein. Customers can receive a 3D scan of their teeth at the locations, called SmileShops, which will be used to create a pair of invisible braces and the move comes as Walgreens (WBA) is testing SmileDirectClub locations in four of its stores.
