In a unanimous vote, the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices backs catch-up vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) infection in adults over the age of 26.
The news may modestly boost demand for Merck’s (MRK -1.8%) Gardasil 9(human papillomavirus 9-valent vaccine, recombinant) since it is currently approved for people ages 9 – 45.
