FDA OKs three OTC meds under switch process

Under a process called prescription (Rx)-to-OTC switch, the FDA has approved three prescription drugs for non-prescription use.
GlaxoSmithKline’s (NYSE:GSK) Voltaren Arthritis Pain (diclofenac sodium topical gel, 1%) for the temporary relief of arthritis pain.
Alcon’s (NYSE:ALC) Pataday Twice Daily (olopatadine HCl ophthalmic solution/drops, 0.1%) and Pataday Once Daily Relief (olopatadine HCl ophthalmic solution/drops, 0.2%), both for the temporary relief of red and itchy eyes due to certain allergens.
