Thinly traded nano cap GeoVax (OTCQB:GOVX) says it has made “rapid progress” developing a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus causing the current outbreak.
According to CSO Farshad Guirakhoo, Ph.D., the company is progressing with
the design, construction and in vitro characterizations of three
candidates which will be narrowed to one based on safety and
immunogenicity data.
Funding appears to be a hurdle, however, as CEO
David Dodd was in Washington, DC last week seeking financial support to
accelerate development.
