New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio says a decision on “shelter-in-place” (for city and state) will be made in the next 48 hours, and citizens should get prepared.
San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area counties yesterday instituted a shelter-in-place order until April 7.
A similar move in NY would ban non-essential
gatherings of any size, as well as non-essential travel (pretty much
anything except shopping for food and household supplies, and seeking
medical care).
