The preliminary results of a New York study show 13.9% of state residents have COVID-19 antibodies, including 21.2% of NYC residents. Given that antibodies take some weeks to develop, it’s likely the true numbers are at least somewhat higher.
As with earlier Stanford and USC
studies, the NY results would point to a whoppingly lower death rate
than had been feared, and suggest at least some question about the
policy response.
