OPKO Health (OPK +3.9%) unit BioReference Laboratories announces the nation-wide availability of blood tests to detect antibodies to the COVID-19 coronavirus.
Under an agreement with the State of New York,
testing will begin there on Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA)
employees.
The lab says it will be able to process 400K tests
per day by mid-May, cautioning that results should be interpreted with
other factors such as symptoms and history since protective immunity has
been yet been established in clinical trials.
