EMA backs Xeris Ogluo as treatment in severe hypoglycemia

 

• The European Medicines Agency's advisory group, CHMP, has adopted a positive opinion for Xeris Pharmaceuticals' (NASDAQ:XERS) Ogluo (glucagon), recommending Ogluo for the treatment of severe hypoglycaemia in adults, adolescents and children aged 2 years and over with diabetes mellitus.
• The European Commission will review the recommendation, and a final decision on the marketing application is expected in Q1 2021.
• If approved, Ogluo is expected to be launched in certain European countries in H2 2021.
