FDA Panel reviewing Pfizer/ BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine

 

• Food and Drug Administration’s vaccine advisory panel has kicked off the meeting to review the Pfizer (PFE) / BioNTech (BNTX) vaccine's clinical trial data and offer their opinions on the vaccine.
• FDA often follows the group's advice, though it's not required to do so.
• A positive signoff will pave the way for the vaccine to win the FDA's emergency use authorization, making the duo first do so in the U.S.
