Biogen Inc. said it plans to present new data on Alzheimer's disease research, including information from its Aduhelm injection treatment, at a conference in Barcelona, Spain.
The findings, which represents about two years of Phase 3 data, includes analyses of the treatment's effect on biomarkers of Alzheimer's disease. It will look at how Aduhelm reduces amyloid beta plaque and plasma p-tau181 and the relationship it has between biomarkers during the long-term study of the treatment.
Aduhelm is a monoclonal antibody that has shown to help reduce amyloid beta plaque and plasma p-tau181. The build up of the amyloid beta plaques is one of the defining pathophysiological features of Alzheimer's disease, the company said.
The conference is scheduled to take place March 15-20.
