Rhythm Pharma Positive NICE Opinion for Treatment of Obesity and Hyperphagia

 IMCIVREE expected to be funded and available for use in England and Wales within three months through the National Health Service in specialist centres

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (Nasdaq: RYTM), a global commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on transforming the lives of patients and their families living with rare neuroendocrine diseases, today announced the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has issued guidance that recommends IMCIVREE^® (setmelanotide) as an option for treating obesity and the control of hunger (hyperphagia) in genetically confirmed Bardet-Biedl syndrome (BBS) in people 6 years of age and over, if they are between 6 and 17 years of age when treatment starts. Patients may remain on reimbursed setmelanotide as adults whilst they continue to benefit from therapy.
