Convicted crypto fraudster Sam Bankman-Fried has been bounced to an Oklahoma City lockup following his unauthorized jailhouse interview with Tucker Carlson.
The former FTX executive had been serving time in a high-security unit at Brooklyn’s notorious Metropolitan Detention Center alongside cellblock mate, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
But the 33-year-old is now being housed at the FTC Oklahoma City — a transfer facility for inmates moving cross-country, federal prison records showed Thursday.

Prison officials didn’t tell him where he was being taken when they suddenly woke him and escorted him from his cell at about 3 a.m. Wednesday, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing sources.
It wasn’t immediately clear why Bankman-Fried was moved from the federal prison where he’s been hauled up for the last 18 months.
The Post reached out to his lawyers but didn’t hear back immediately.
The relocation came soon after the felon gave a video call interview with the former Fox News host earlier this month — during which he revealed he’d become pals with Combs and that the accused sex trafficker had “always been kind to me.”
“I’ve only seen one piece of him, which is Diddy in prison. You know, he’s been kind to people in the unit,” Bankman-Fried told Carlson in the interview that went live March 6.
“What we see are just the people that are around us on the inside, rather than who we are on the outside,” he added. “He’s been kind to me. It’s a position no one wants to be in. Obviously he doesn’t, I don’t. It’s kind of a soul-crushing place.”

The interview, which was Bankman-Fried’s latest push in a long-shot campaign to secure of pardon from President Trump, reportedly landed him in solitary confinement at the infamous lockup.
The disgraced tech mogul had been housed there since he was sentenced in 2023 to 25 years behind bars for stealing more than $8 billion from customers of his FTX cryptocurrency exchange.
