CME to launch 24/7 crypto trading in 2026

CME Group announced on Thursday that it plans to make its cryptocurrency futures and options tradable "24 hours a day, seven days a week" starting in early 2026, subject to regulatory approval.

Tim McCourt, Global Head of Equities, FX and Alternative Products, said that "client demand for around-the-clock cryptocurrency trading has grown," stressing that continuous access will let participants "trade with confidence at any time." Trading will take place on CME Globex with a short weekly maintenance window, while weekend and holiday trades will carry the following business day’s date for clearing and reporting.

The move follows record volumes in 2025, including a "notional open interest of $39 billion on September 18" and over 1,010 large holders across crypto products by late September.

French FM claims Hamas lost Gaza war

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot claimed on Thursday that Hamas had lost the war against Israel in the Gaza Strip and urged the group to "surrender" to United States President Donald Trump's plan for Gaza.

"Hamas bears a very heavy responsibility for the catastrophe experienced by the Palestinians. It has lost. It must accept its own surrender," Barrot told AFP.

Trump's proposal for peace in Gaza does not see Hamas as part of the post-war Gaza government, and gives members of the militant group the chance to surrender their weapons and accept peaceful co-existence in exchange for amnesty.

IDF detains 400 activists, seizes 41 ships in Gaza flotilla

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported on Thursday that they had taken control of 41 ships and arrested some 400 activists from the Gaza flotilla, which attempted to break the Israeli maritime blockade on the Gaza Strip.

"Forces of the Shayetet 13 naval commando unit, the Missile Ship Fleet, and Snapir harbor security unit, along with other Navy forces, were involved in intercepting the flotilla," the army added. The six largest vessels in the flotilla were intercepted first, with the smaller ones being tackled later.

All of the vehicles are being towed to Ashdod Port, and the activists have been arrested and sent there to be deported from Israel.

'Crypto Bill Seen Hindering Fraud Prosecutions, States Warn'

Just as federal enforcement against digital-asset companies has dropped precipitously, state authorities are voicing concern that their ability to prosecute crypto criminals will soon be vastly diminished.

Regulators from Alabama to Montana are warning that crypto market-structure legislation currently before Congress could diminish their ability to pursue wrongdoers. The timing couldn’t be more perilous, with crypto fraud and criminal activity heating up worldwide as bad actors seek to take advantage of soaring investor demand for digital asset with prices back near all-time highs.

Foreign-Linked Cash Funneled Into NYC Candidate Zohran Mamdani's Campaign

by Peter Schweizer & Seamus Bruner of The Drill Down,

Unless distant second Andrew Cuomo can whip up support quickly, Zohran Mamdani is currently favored to win the New York City mayoral election come November. Mamdani, a far-left radical, is promising millions in questionable handouts, destructive soft-on-crime policies, and government-run supermarkets.

Tax the rich! Housing is a right! Universal healthcare! Renewable energy! Just a few more policy positions the Democratic Socialist will try to implement — at all costs, no matter how destructive.

Zohran Mamdani won the 2025 NYC Democratic mayoral primary back in June by about 12 percentage points — and has maintained a comfortable lead ever since.

But "Mamdani Momentum" comes at a price, leading many to wonder: Who's filling Mamdani's war chest? Just where does the Socialist darling get his dollars from?

GAI President and New York Times bestselling author Peter Schweizer knows the answer.

According to Schweizer, 78% of Mamdani's funders are NOT New Yorkers, and include radical funders tied to the 1993 WTC bombing, a New Mexico school shooting plot, Hezbollah/Iran propaganda machines, and more.

"Radical Islamic Cleric Siraj Wahhaj (an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 WTC bombing) funneled cash into Mamdani's support network. Three (3!) of the cleric's children were sentenced to life in prison in 2024 for running a New Mexico terror training camp for school shootings," Schweizer shared on X.

Who else is excited about Mayor Mamdani? How about Hezbollah

Hezbollah's main mouthpiece, Al-Khandiq media, celebrated Mamdani's rise, calling the NYC mayor's office the "2nd most powerful in America," a stepping stone to Congress, Cabinet…even VP.

Iran's state media bragged that Mamdani's team mobilized 100+ mosques across NYC.

Having said all that, it should surprise precisely no one that Mamdani calls Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu a war criminal and has accused him of carrying out a genocide in Gaza.

When asked repeatedly if he condemns "Globalize the Intifada" (an antisemitic slogan glorifying violent uprisings and the elimination of Jews), Mamdani REFUSED. Instead, he claimed it "means different things to different people."

As Schweizer said: "Hezbollah couldn't have scripted it better."

But, perhaps Mamdani's family members are more sensible than his "associates" — maybe they are more politically centrist and less controversial?

Nope.

"Mamdani's mother has received millions from Qatar for her film projects," Schweizer said on X. "Qatar, a known funder of Hamas, is one of the top state backers of Islamist political influence worldwide. And Mamdani's father? He's apparently an apologist for suicide bombing (it shouldn't be 'stigmatized') and supports China as the CCP escalates its confrontation with the USA."

"The big immediate significance of China's role [In Africa] is that it has eroded this monopoly and from an African point of view, it can only be good," Mamdani's father, Mahmood Mamdani, said.

He's also been a staunch critic of Israel.

…and defender of Palestine.

Quick recap: Mamdani is a Socialist whose campaign is funded almost entirely by out-of-staters — some with terror ties. Hezbollah, a terror organization, wants him to win. His parents are suicide bomber apologists with ties to Qatar, funders of Hamas.

Instead of voting for Mamdani, Schweizer has another idea:

  • Investigate & prosecute foreign agents bankrolling campaigns.

  • Close the "green card / red money" loophole.

  • Overturn soft-on-crime policies letting radicals bankroll radicals.

That sounds like a better plan to us.

Earlier this week, Peter Schweizer joined John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby on WBAC Radio. He discussed the troubling foreign-linked money flowing into New York mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani's campaign.

US Businesses Sign Record 98 Contracts Worth $170 Billion With Foreign Government Buyers

by Naveen Athrappully via The Epoch Times (emphasis ours),

American businesses signed 98 contracts valued at $170 billion with foreign government buyers during the first nine months of the Trump administration, the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration (ITA) said in a Sept. 30 statement.

The record $170 billion in contracts signed with foreign government buyers so far in 2025 vastly surpasses the $12 billion in contracts signed during the same period in 2021,” ITA said.

The contracts are expected to support 589,000 American jobs and ensure $144 billion worth of made-in-USA exports.

“The record-breaking U.S. business wins under President Trump’s leadership reflect an unwavering commitment to rebuilding U.S. industry for the American worker,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick said.

“With record business deals abroad, America is strong again, and together with the American worker, President Trump is transforming the U.S. economy, rebalancing our global trade, and restoring America’s place in the world.”

In terms of value, the U.S. aerospace and defense sector inked $153 billion in contracts with foreign government entities, which is expected to keep the American industrial base strong, according to ITA.

Roughly $5 billion in deals have been signed that will strengthen energy security in the country, especially in the oil, gas, and nuclear sectors.

According to ITA, more than $800 million in contracts have been signed in the information technology sector. In the safety and security equipment sector, more than $600 million worth of deals have been entered, thereby countering untrusted tech and unfair tactics of foreign adversaries.

“In the first nine months of the Trump Administration, ITA advocacy has worked tirelessly to win contracts to support hundreds of thousands of American jobs,” said Commerce Undersecretary William Kimmitt.

We will continue to be an unrelenting advocate around the world in support of American workers.

The sharp uptick in business performance comes amid concerns about the state of the U.S. economy over the coming months.

In a Sept. 18 statement, think tank The Conference Board said that its leading economic index fell by 0.5 percent in August from the previous month, suggesting a near-term decline in the economy.

This was the largest monthly fall since April, according to Justyna Zabinska-La Monica, senior manager of business cycle indicators at the think tank.

“Overall, the LEI suggests that economic activity will continue to slow. A major driver of this slowdown has been higher tariffs, which already trimmed growth in H1 2025 and will continue to be a drag on GDP growth in the second half of this year and in H1 2026,” Zabinska-La Monica said.

Despite these projections, GDP growth has increased in the recent second quarter, signaling a strengthening of the economy.

In the first quarter of 2025, GDP contracted by 0.6 percent, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis. However, in the second quarter, the first full quarter under the Trump administration, GDP grew by 3.8 percent, higher than initial estimates of 3 percent.

“America’s economic resurgence under President Trump continues: revised data show even stronger real GDP growth of 3.8 percent in Q2 2025 thanks to the Trump agenda of tax cuts, deregulation, tariffs, and energy abundance,” White House deputy press secretary Kush Desai wrote in an X post on Sept. 25.

A Sept. 24 statement from the Chamber of Commerce said that small business confidence continued to climb in the third quarter, according to a survey of small business owners.

“This quarter’s Index reflects a resilient small business community that’s cautiously optimistic about the economy,” said Tom Sullivan, vice president of small business policy at the chamber.

“But high costs are still holding many back from expanding and investing.”

Among the respondents. 46 percent said inflation was the biggest challenge, while 34 percent blamed the cost of goods and services as the most significant roadblock to expansion.

The economic outlook improved among respondents, with 40 percent saying the U.S. economy was in good health.
