As expected, the European Commission approves AbbVie’s (ABBV -1%) Rinvoq (upadacitinib) for the treatment of adult patients with moderate-to-severe active rheumatoid arthritis who have not responded adequately to or who are intolerant of one or more disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
In October, the advisory group CHMP adopted a positive opinion backing approval.
