Medtronic PLC on Thursday said it agreed to buy Digital Surgery, a
privately held provider of surgical artificial intelligence, data and
analytics, and digital education and training, for an undisclosed
amount.
Medtronic said the acquisition will strengthen its robotic-assisted
surgery platform and has applicability for its broader portfolio.
The Dublin-based medical-technology company said Digital Surgery will
join its surgical-robotics business as part of its minimally invasive
therapies group.
