NY Proposes 9.3% Con Edison Return as Higher Power Bills Loom

 

The staff of New York’s utility regulator recommended Consolidated Edison Inc. collect a 9.3% return on its equity, lower than the amount sought by the power company.

The utility had requested a return on equity of 10.1%. Analysts at Citigroup Inc. had predicted that staff would recommend a 9.2% return.
