United States President Donald Trump declared via Truth Social that Democrat-linked health insurance companies will no longer receive funds for what he described as "really bad Obamacare," adding that the money would instead go directly to the people.
The US president elaborated that it would take THE 'FAT CAT' INSURANCE COMPANIES OUT OF THE CORRUPT SYSTEM OF HEALTHCARE. THE PEOPLE CAN BUY THEIR OWN, MUCH BETTER POLICY, FOR MUCH LESS MONEY, SAVING, FOR THEMSELVES, AN ABSOLUTE FORTUNE!!!."
His announcement comes amid the ongoing disagreement between Senate Republicans and Democrats over healthcare, fuelling the longest government shutdown in American history. Trump repeatedly urged an immediate end to the shutdown.
