United States President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that the US Supreme Court (SCOTUS) was given "wrong numbers" related to the potential effect the court's ruling in the tariff case would have, claiming that the "unwind" in the case of a negative ruling would be more than $3 trillion, including all the past and future investments and return of funds.
"It would not be possible to ever make up for that kind of a 'drubbing.' That would truly become an insurmountable National Security Event, and devastating to the future of our Country - Possibly non-sustainable," Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
The US president already warned last week that a negative decision in the tariff case would be "devastating" for the country, noting that the US will have investments of over $21 trillion by the end of the year.
