The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested four people suspected of planning a series of bombings on New Year's Eve in Los Angeles, Fox News Digital reported on Monday, citing the federal law enforcement agency.
According to the report, the four people who were arrested self-identified as members of an offshoot group of the Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF), which the FBI described as "an extremist group motivated by pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government ideology." The group was allegedly planning several coordinated attacks at five different locations in Los Angeles using improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
The FBI reportedly arrested the suspects in Lucerne Valley and charged them with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device. The agency later revealed that it arrested a fifth person believed to be connected to the same TILF group.
