The United States suspended the "technology prosperity deal" it reached with the United Kingdom during US President Donald Trump's visit there earlier this year, the Financial Times reported.
British officials said the deal, announced back in September and aimed at boosting cooperation in artificial intelligence, quantum computing and nuclear energy, was suspended by the US last week. One of the cited officials said Washington was pushing for British concessions in areas of trade outside the tech partnership.
US officials were becoming "increasingly frustrated" with the UK not dealing with the so-called non-tariff barriers, including rules and regulations governing food and industrial goods, the report added.
