United States President Donald Trump spoke to Israel's Channel 14 on Thursday, revealing that if Israel was "provoked" and decided to launch an independent attack on Iran, Washington would "absolutely" stand behind it.
Trump went on to say that he continues to maintain a good relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing their ties as "very good" and "excellent." Asked about whether he would impose an arms embargo on Israel if it continues its operations in Lebanon, Trump simply said he "never heard of that." He did say, however, that Hezbollah should disarm.
When asked what he would do if Tehran refused to dismantle its nuclear program, the US head of state reiterated that it would be hit "very strongly." Nonetheless, he expressed confidence that Washington is in "good shape."
