Masimo CEO Joe Kiani: Behind the scenes of the smartwatch patent war with Apple

  Masimo (MASI) CEO Joe Kiani believes Apple (AAPL) should apologize for copying his company's patented technology for measuring blood oxygen levels in Apple smartwatches. The ban on importing certain Apple Watches into the U.S. will take effect on December 25. Apple is working on a software fix, but Mr. Kiani believes this will not resolve the underlying patent infringement. He accuses Apple of deliberately recruiting 25 of its engineers, including the medical director and CTO of a spin-off company.
