Shares of Digital World Acquisition Corp. DWAC, the blank-check company that wants to merge with former President Donald Trump’s media venture, rose after hours on Friday after the company said in a regulatory filing that it expects to complete that deal “as soon as the first quarter of 2024.” Digital World offered up those expectations after filing an amendment to its registration statement, which it said “includes a preliminary proxy statement of the company, and a prospectus in connection with the proposed business combination” with Trump Media & Technology Group, the company that runs Trump’s social-media platform.
