Early Thursday, Bristol Myers Squibb (BMY) reported adjusted earnings of $1.80 per share on $11.89 billion in third-quarter sales. In response, Bristol Myers stock edged higher.
Analysts expected the drugmaker to earn $1.49 per share on $11.27 billion in sales.
During the same three months last year, Bristol Myers earned $2 per share and reported $10.97 billion in sales.
For the year, the pharma giant guided up to EPS of 75-95 cents with revenue up 5%. The Street projected 70 cents earnings per share and $46.78 billion in sales.
In premarket trades on the stock market today, Bristol Myers stock rose 0.4%. Shares have been trading tightly above a prior consolidation, just above a rising 10-week line.
