United States Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (pictured) plans to propose that Senate Democrats agree to end the government shutdown in exchange for Senate Republicans agreeing to a one-year extension of the Affordable Care Act's subsidies, Punchbowl News reporter, Max Cohen, reported on Friday, citing three sources.
The Democrats' proposal will also reportedly include a clean pairing of a Continuing Resolution (CR) with a three-bill spending package, also called "minibus," a clean one-year Obamacare extension, and establishing a bipartisan committee for long-term Obamacare negotiations, according to the Punchbowl reporter, Andrew Desiderio.
