US closes lower as AI sector turns to losses

 Major stock indexes in the United States closed lower on Monday as AI-related companies turned red after a higher open, including Salesforce, Broadcom, AMD and Oracle. Major tech companies such as Amazon, Microsoft, and Apple also dipped, putting further pressure on the markets.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 0.09% at the closing bell, while the Nasdaq 100 dipped by 0.48%. Meanwhile, the S&P 500 slipped by 0.16% at the close.

The euro gained 0.10% against the dollar at 3:59 pm ET, going for $1.17514.
