The White Suit of Death strikes again, this time schooling AOC on consequences of her 'wealth tax'

by Monica Showalter

If Democrats had a lick of common sense, they'd run the other way, any time a woman in a white suit showed up. We saw it when Tulsi Gabbard handed Kamala Harris her head at the DNC debates. We saw it when Maria Corina Machado made mincemeat of the rump Chavista government of Venezuela, led by Delcy Rodriguez.

It was the strike of the white suit, and I only say this because the left so fixates on the suit every time they get verbally trashed.

It was obvious enough in Munich, where an Argentinian congresswoman in a white suit on a panel at the Munich security conference schooled AOC on just how bad her 'tax-the-rich' idea was.

The video speaks for itself:

AOC had been blithely advocating for a trendy 'wealth tax,' as the interviewer flattered her she would run for president, beaming as she said: "I think it needs to be done as expeditiously."

Then the Argentinian congresswoman laid out just how well that worked out for Argentina:

"You have the recipe that Latin American countries applied many, many, times, that is some relief in the short term but ended up being tragedy for the future. It's like public expenditure, huge public expenditure, price control, sometimes wealth tax, and the wealth goes away and you have just the tax, and you don't have wealth anymore. That was something that Peronism did many, many times. So all these recipes created a cycle. You have this short-term relief but then goes with inflation, shortage, then you have more poverty, and the cycle goes and goes."

I love that she brought up Peronism as being the instrument of this wealth-destruction scheme. Peronism, of course, is true fascism, and Juan Peron was a notable admirer of Benito Mussolini.

As the lefties like to say, it was obvious she had a lot of 'lived experience.'

Which is probably more important than the fact that her biography suggests she's an accomplished woman, having a degree that means something in economics from a top Argentine university, and having done graduate work at Georgetown and Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.

AOC has a degree in economics, too, bafflingly from a reasonably good school, but she learned utterly nothing.

Now like Kamala and Delcy, she's been paid a visit by The White Suit.

How fitting it is.
