United States President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday three projects in the fields of oil and gas production, power generation, and critical minerals, which will be realized in Texas, Ohio, and Georgia, respectively, and funded with the help of Japan's $550 billion investment.
Writing on Truth Social, Trump described the projects as "tremendous," and cooperation with Japan as "part of our Historic Trade Deal to REVITALIZE the American Industrial Base, create HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of GREAT American Jobs, and strengthen our National and Economic Security like never before."
"The scale of these projects are so large, and could not be done without one very special word, TARIFFS," Trump concluded. "This is a very exciting and HISTORIC time for the United States of America and Japan."
