Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said on Friday that "all of Lebanon must burn" as the Israeli military killed at least 16 people in the latest round of strikes on alleged Hezbollah targets. "For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must cry," he said on social media.
Ben-Gvir added that, "with all due respect to the Americans, Israel must make it clear to the entire world that the blood of our sons and the security of our citizens is not in vain." He insisted that Israel's obligation to protect its military and citizens is more important than other considerations, as the talks between the United States and Iran scheduled for today were cancelled, reportedly due to renewed hostilities in Lebanon.
