Samsung Electronics Co.'s headquarters in Suwon, South Korea, have been raided as part of an investigation into possible insider trading, the Yonhap news agency reported on Thursday. According to sources with knowledge of the matter, the raid was carried out by investigators from the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors' Office.
The report claimed that 16 people are suspected of using insider information to profit around $2.6 million during Samsung's acquisition of Rainbow Robotics from 2022 to 2024. The list allegedly includes Rainbow Robotics' CEO and CFO.
