Montgomery County, PA Houses of Declaration

A250 Houses of Declaration Montco locations

Celebrate Independence Day 2026 in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, where the spirit of 1776 comes alive through the Houses of Declaration, a signature semiquincentennial experience. In the 1700s, the Declaration of Independence spread through public readings in town squares and taverns, inspiring debate and unity across early America. This July 4th weekend, July 3-5, various Montco towns ranging from East Greenville to Bryn Mawr invite visitors to relive that moment through powerful live readings.

Across Montgomery County, historic sites, community landmarks, and local businesses will host special Declaration of Independence readings that connect families, history enthusiasts, and travelers with the story of America’s founding. Celebrate July 4th where patriotism, community, and history come together in the Houses of Declaration.
