Eli Lilly, which is facing growing scrutiny from Congress over significant increases in the list price of a popular insulin, said the price it was paid fell by 8.1% during the past five years after factoring in rebates and discounts, the Wall Street Journal’s Peter Loftus reports, citing the company. The drugmaker said the net price for its Humalog insulin dropped to an average of $135 a patient a month in 2018, from $147 in 2014 and the product’s average list price increased 51.9% to $594 per patient monthly during the same period
